To-do List

Establish perimeter (wildlife corridor/Zone 4 hedge) using pioneer trees and native trees and shrubs (i.e. kakawate, malunggay, ipil-ipil, etc.)
Natural catchment basin in the Western and Eastern side will be preserved. A bridge will connect Zone 2 and Zone 1 from the Northeast entrance.
The two water catchment areas (natural ponds) will be a source of irrigation for the garden.
Zone 2 (leisure area) will be leveled with top soil up to the height of the PWD pathway of the TLH building (Fig. 9).
After establishing the perimeter and leveling of Zone 2. Garden beds will be added. Either straight 1x5 beds or curved beds (see photos below).

Proposed Design Process for FMDS Perma GARDEN

To-do List:

Post-launching of the garden, I suggest that we prioritize the installation of a rainwater harvesting system since this is one of the most practical technologies being promoted by permaculture.
We also want to encourage households to have their own rainwater collection systems because this will be the backbone of their permaculture design.
The arrival of El Nino season is very timely for us to prioritize this in our design.
